Viticultura on Rozelaar
The quality of our wine begins in the vineyard. We attach great importance to our terroir: the soil, vines and climate are the fundamental elements of our profession. In line with biodynamic principles, we work in a way that respects our environment and soil. To ensure the quality of our work, every operation is carefully considered and carried out with a long-term view.
We constantly strive to grow healthy and high-quality grapes so that we can make quality wines expressing the character of our terroir as purely as possible.
On the estate, over the past 15 years, 3,000 trees, 5,000 hedge plants, and more than 20,000 shrubs have been planted. The combination of trees and hedges with viticulture, a principle known as vitiforestry, offers enormous benefits: it creates a microclimate that protects the vines from extreme weather conditions, improves soil organic matter levels and water balance, and promotes habitats for biodiversity (such as wild birds and arthropods that regulate pests and contribute to pollination).

Perfection in every glass
Our estate covers about 2.5 hectares of vineyards, divided into 3 plots.
The planting was done between 2016 and 2019 and consists mainly of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Cortis and Pinot Noir. We focus production on small yields, but with high quality.
Vinification at the castle estate is planned from 2025.
The focus will be on producing high-quality red wine.
